Genre:
A literary work such as a novel, whose content is produced by the imagination and is not necessarily based on fact.
To become compulsively and psychologically dependent on a habit-forming substance.
To comprehend the meaning of (written or printed characters, words, or symbols).
A group of people organized for a common purpose.
A fictional prose narrative of considerable length, typically having a plot that is unfolded by the actions, speech and thoughts of the characters.
An established class or category of artistic composition, as in literature or film.

The Fiction Addiction Reader's Club is for readers who read novels for entertainment, to get together to discuss their favorite genre or category of fiction. Where readers may, for fun, share their opinions; rave, gush, complain, or critique and get input from others who enjoy the same type of books they do. We will serve free coffee to the club members during the meeting - please bring your own mug or coffee cup with a cover.

Questions:Answers:
Where will it take place?

Does it cost anything?

FREE

How does it work?Every genre will have their own club meeting held on a different day. We will need at least 3 readers to start a genre and we can accommodate up to 8 per group - due to limited space.
Is there a list of the books that I will need to read?

There is no schedule of books that must be read before each get-together. Each person gets to choose the book that they wish to talk about. The book you want to discuss should have been read recently - within the previous week or two, so it will be fresh in your mind. If you can, bring the book you want to talk about with, when you attend.

When will it take place?

Each genre group will meet, very informally, once a month. It is possible that it could meet twice a month, both afternoon and evening, if there are enough readers interested in that particular genre.

If I don't drive, how can I participate?

We will try to help people connect up, to carpool if they are interested.

We will be posting the opinions, of the books discussed, after each genre group meeting.
