Trade
Credit Policy
The Bookshop accepts good quality
paperbacks and audio books on CD towards Trade Credit, which then can
be applied to books you buy--up to another 25% off the price.
Best of all - WE KEEP TRACK OF YOUR CREDIT FOR YOU!
How
Trade Credit Works
The Bookshop sells used paperbacks and
audio books on CD for 50% off the listed price. With Trade Credit, up
to additional 25% is deducted from your credit and the remaining
25% of the cover price you pay in cash.
Example: If you were to buy a
book with a listed price of $8.00, it would automatically be $4.00 (50%
off). When you have Trade Credit, we deduct another $2.00 (25% of the
listed price) from your Trade Credit. The remaining $2.00 + tax you
would pay in cash.
Trade Credit
is good for in-store purchases for used books only. Contact
us for more details.
How
To Get Trade Credit
We accept good quality paperbacks
and audio books on CD. The only hardcover books we accept
for Trade Credit are cookbooks, crafting books & children's books.
When you bring in your books, you receive
15% of the cover price in Trade Credit. Audio books on CD receive 25%
of cover price in Trade Credit. When you bring in those new releases
- books originally published less than 6 months ago - you will receive
double credit! This excludes paperbacks originally
bought here, reprints and series romance and audio books.
What
Type of Books We Accept
Currently,
we are focused mostly on fiction. But, we do take some limited non-fiction: biographies,
true crime, cookbooks, craftbooks, history and military non-fiction.
Sorry...
Unfortunately,
we sometimes also have to turn away books due to the quantity we already have
in stock - even though the books brought in may be in perfect condition. We will
honor books purchased here, that are returned for Trade Credit, if they retain
their good condition.
Does
Trade Credit Expire?
Any Trade Credit balance you have is
given to you, printed on each receipt you receive. Trade Credit never
expires and is transferable.
